47 months to go and already two senior citizens and one child campaign for the presidency

A major advantage of a constitutional monarchy like the United Kingdom, is that dynasties rarely change. The durability of the ruling house ensures that the monarch has an encompassing interest in the nation, that her (his) actions are far-sighted and reflective of national rather than narrow special interests.

The United States began exceptionally well, with George Washington as its first (two-term) president. George was not big on campaigning for office. But he was a man of great experience and towering wisdom, a giant among his people. There are now no discernible George Washington’s to be welcomed by a grateful and immensely impressed people.

Already, in January 2013, three pygmies are scrambling for the 2016 presidential election.

Joe Biden, an aging politician relying on hair plugs to hide a totally bald pate, and best known for plagiarizing the speeches of others, runs down Pennsylvania Avenue during the Inauguration parade, followed by a mini-skirted sexagenarian wife, in order to fool the people that he is 45 years of age. Hillary Clinton, a former Marxist, and sexagenarian, stand-by-her-man, wife of a philandering husband, re-assembles her features with a sequence of face-lifts that leaves her unable to move her eyelids, in a desperate attempt to fool the people that she also is 45 years of age. Hillary is best known for exposing a US ambassador to assassination in Libya and then hiding from the public because she has ‘better things to do’ on Sundays than to explain what actually occurred to a bewildered nation.

Rand Paul is a child politician, with no experience either in the outside world or in the murky world of politics. With name recognition from his father, a failed presidential candidate, and from Ayn Rand, who would have eaten his lunch, Rand Paul is crawling all over the internet seeking campaign funds for ludicrous causes and name recognition for the presidency.

And that folks tells us everything we need to know about American politics. Ceaseless campaigning by old deadbeats and by yet-to-be-fully-formed children for a position that demands high ability, enormous experience, and great wisdom. George Washington must be turning in his grave to see what he fought so hard for throughout the War of Revolution.
